Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix completed high school in 2003, and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 second. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third in each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
